Peter Joseph Torok

Torok, Peter Joseph “Pete”, 84, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026. At Springfield Regional Medical Center. Pete was born November 20, 1941, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Peter Paul and Helen J. (Morman) Torok.
He retired from Navistar in 2004 and was a longtime member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of the Eagles and DAV. Pete also enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth A. (Phillips) Torok; two daughters, Patricia Caulkins and Pamela (Tony) Hoben; four grandchildren, Tory (Mel) Caulkins, Joshua (Gella) Caulkins, Meghan (Zack) Armstrong and Ryan (Delaina) Hoben; four great grandchildren, Aiden, Conner, Avery and Morgan; one sister, Carol (Jim) Knight; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 12 at 1:00 p.m. in Northminster Presbyterian Church 400 Villa Road, Springfield, Ohio 45503. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior, beginning at 12:30 p.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Affinity Hospice or Northminster Presbyterian Church.
