Rex A. Brown, Sr.

NILES, MI - Rex A. Brown, Sr. passed away peacefully at Niles Riverridge Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Rex is survived by his wife Vicky of 30 years, her children, and grandchildren: son, Rex Jr. (Cathy) Brown; daughter, Sheryl (Nick) Miller; and stepdaughter, Renee (Michael) Furlong; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Charlene Brown; along with nephews, David Brown and Tony Brown, their children, and cousin, Bruce Haines.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rex Brown; mother, Catherine Williams Goltry; brothers, John Brown and Jim Brown; and daughters, Pam Hahaj and Teri Potter.

Rex graduated from Washington Clay High School. He was an Insurance Agent for many, many years in South Bend and a lake resident of Donnell Lake in the 70's and 80's. He was a life member/33rd degree of Masonic Lodge, St. Joseph Valley #4, in Niles, MI. He will be remembered for his storytelling (with embellishments), and his charismatic charm.
