Joseph Allen Colvin, 74, of Bremen, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his home.

Joe was born April 26, 1946 in Mishawaka, and raised by his father, James Colvin.

After graduating from high school, Joe went on to serve our Country in the United States Army; serving in Germany during the Vietnam War era. 

On May 3, 1968 in South Bend, he married Nancy Kay Cabanaw; and she survives.

Joe was a dispatcher and supervisor for Ron’s Delivery Service in South Bend.  Joe was a simple man who loved to be with his family.  Although, back in the 70’s and 80’s, Joe enjoyed bowling and playing softball.

Surviving is his wife, Nancy of Bremen; daughter, Angela (Heath) Thornton of Bremen; son, John (Pam) Colvin of Cedar Springs, Michigan; three grandchildren, Ashley (Tony) Lemmen, Benjamin Thornton and Jacob Thornton; and three great-grandchildren, Jaydan, Braylee and Kinsley Lemmen.  Also surviving are his siblings, Joyce Burch of Niles, Michigan, Jackie (Tim) McCoy of South Bend, and Janice Searfoss of Osceola.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Jane McGee; brother, John Patrick Colvin; and a granddaughter, Julie Colvin.

Due to the COVID restrictions, no services are planned at this time.
