Sharon Closson, 69, passed away on May 1, 2026. She was born on December 18, 1956, to Richard and Evelyn Bruce, who both preceded her in death.
Sharon graduated from Clay High School in 1975.
On September 9, 1978, Sharon married her best friend and the love of her life, Richard Closson. Together they built a life centered on love and family until his passing on June 7, 2024.
Sharon was a devoted mother and grandmother who took great pride in raising her family. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Andrea Handley, Kelley (Bob Fannin) Roedel, and Jeff Closson. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Allen, Jeffrey, Jordon, Mark, Brenden, and Scott, as well as her great-grandchildren: Autumn, Aiden, Oakley, Bentleigh, Preston, Beckham, and Payton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Richard Closson, and brother James Bruce.
Sharon found joy in the simple things in life. She loved knitting, often making warm slippers for those she cared about. A true homebody, she cherished quiet moments at home, especially sitting outside on her swing and enjoying the peace of nature.
Sharon will be remembered for her warmth, her quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements and extends their deepest sympathies to Sharon’s family.
