Donna J. Martin-Boseker, 76, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at her home in rural Waterloo. She was born July 13, 1945, in South Bend to Arnet C. and Loa A. (Seifer) Whitacre.

Donna married Kenneth "Ken" Boseker on October 24, 1987, in Auburn, and he passed away May 23, 2010.

Donna began her career in the insurance industry in 1976, working for Farm Bureau in Auburn as a secretary. After a short break, in 1980, she became a licensed agent at Domex Insurance. She purchased the business in 1985 and renamed it, Donavan Insurance Services which she ran until December of 2020. Among the many awards received over the years she was most proud of Donavan Insurance Services being named the first ever female owned "Agency of the Year" by Celina Insurance in 2018.

Donna was a caring and giving person who partnered with many local charitable organizations. She was a member of the Auburn Rotary Club. She was a former member of the Community Foundation DeKalb County Board of Directors from 2000 – 2010, serving as President of the Board from 2008-2009. She established "Loa's Fund" with the Community Foundation in honor of her mother. She was a former member of the Terre Firma Early Childhood Literacy Board of Directors. She also was a former Board President for St. Martin's Health Care Clinic.

Donna enjoyed traveling, baking, decorating cakes and loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, David E. Martin Jr. of Wadsworth, Ohio, Daniel C. and Christine Martin of Fort Wayne, and Donovan P. and Camille Martin of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; Dawn (Sean) McCarthy, Danielle (Jerome) Williams, Danica Martin, Daniel Martin, Magdalen Martin, Tristan Martin and Juniper Martin; great grandson, Jack Williams; brother, William C. Whitacre of Union Mills; sister, Mary Jo Hall of South Bend.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Sharon Whitacre; and a brother, Timothy Whitacre.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from 10 -11 a.m. prior to the service on Wednesday. Daniel Martin will be officiating.

Burial will take place at Sedan Cemetery followed by a lunch at Donna's home for everyone.

Visitation also will be from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the funeral home.
