Lorraine Helen (Kubiak) Klose

Lorraine Helen Klose (Kubiak), age 92, formerly of Niles, MI passed away Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at her home in Tucson, Arizona.

Lorraine was born in South Bend, IN on June 26, 1930, and married her high school sweetheart Robert (Bob) Klose on October 29, 1949.

She is survived by their six children. Michelle Klose, Jill (Rich) (McKenzie), Robert Klose Jr., Lisa Jackson, Edward Klose, and Jennifer (Jeff Aykroyd) Klose, eleven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren.

Lorraine was proceeded in death by her husband, Bob (2016), her parents Casimer and Helen Kubiak (Szweda), brothers Robert and Richard, and sister Loretta.

Lorraine and Bob moved part-time to Tucson in 1999 and full-time in 2013 as Lorraine wanted to escape the Michigan winters and they both wanted to be close to family in Tucson. They were both long-standing members of St. Mary's Church in Niles. Lorraine took great pride in taking care of her family. Whether it was making a delicious homemade meal, her caring words, and easy laugh, or that special "look" she'd give that needed no spoken words. Her character and strength set the tone for her entire family.

Services for Lorraine will be at Hallbritter Wickens Funeral Home 615 E. Main St. in Niles, MI at 10am on Saturday, December 17th. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Niles.
