Warren E. Clauser Jr.

SOUTH BEND - Warren E. Clauser, Jr., residing in South Bend, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Friday, November 19, 2010, in the Sanctuary at St. Paul's following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 84 years old.
He was born September 12, 1926, in Berne, IN, a son of Warren E. and Eva (Watt) Clauser Sr., and had lived in South Bend most of his life.
On October 22, 1950, in Central Evangelical United Brethren Church, South Bend, he was united in marriage to Naomi L. Norman, who survives. They recently observed their 60th wedding anniversary.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Joseph Hohe of Cincinnati, OH; his son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Janine Clauser of Plymouth, IN; five grandchildren, Rebecca Hohe, Rachel (Jason) Jacobs, Sarah Clauser, Meredith Hohe and Caitlin Hohe; and three great-grandchildren, Sophia, Isaac and Paige Jacobs. Warren is also survived by a sister, Carolyn (Larry) Liechty of Berne, IN; and two brothers, Richard Clauser of South Bend and Robert (Ginny) Clauser of Fort Wayne, IN.
Mr. Clauser retired in 1990 as a route salesman for Butternut Bread Co. He graduated from South Bend's Washington-Clay High School, class of 1944, and proudly served his country in the United States Army during WW II, from 1944-1946. He was a Boy Scout leader, and a member of Gospel Center Missionary Church, South Bend. Warren was also very active in raising money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Services celebrating the life of Warren Clauser will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 27, in Gospel Center Missionary Church, 930 South 30th Street, South Bend. Rev. Lance Nothstine and Rev. Don Francis will officiate.
Graveside service and military honors will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, and one hour prior to services Saturday in the church.
