JUNE F. (FRITZ) GREIFF

SOUTH BEND - June F. Greiff, 86, of West Lafayette, formerly of South Bend And New Carlisle, IN, died at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette at 5:50 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008. Mrs. Grieff had recently been residing at the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette. Born in Chicago, IL, December 18, 1921, the daughter of the late Eric G. and Elfrieda Gebhardt Fritz, she was a 1939 graduate of Washington-Clay High School in South Bend.

On March 11, 1944 she married William R. Grieff at Norfolk, Virginia, and he preceded her in death in 1981. Mrs. Greiff was a homemaker, but prior to her marriage had worked as a secretary at Studebaker, and later for Bendix in South Bend.

She served in the US Navy WAVES from 1942 until 1944.

Surviving is a daughter, Glory-June Grieff of Indianapolis.

There will be no visitation. Private family services will be held at a later date.
