LOIS (LANGLEY) VOREIS

GRANGER - Lois Jean Voreis, 79, of Granger, died Friday, July 19, 2013, at home. The South Bend native was born August 18, 1933, to Raymond C. and Marian (Morgan) Langley, who have preceded Lois in death.

She graduated in the Class of 1952 from Washington Clay High School and on June 7, 1952, she married Virgil C. Voreis in Mishawaka. Lois was retired and had worked at Interstate Colorlab, Merrick's Maple Lane Pharmacy, Linda's Flower Shop and Dairy Queen. She enjoyed shopping and decorating; her ladies' group, who would meet to take walks at the mall, celebrate birthdays and play cards; her involvement with Stars Stamping Club and T.O.P.S.; and of course her dogs, Char-Char & Peppy, and her cat, Casey.

In addition to her parents, Lois was also preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Voreis. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Virgil C. Voreis; sons, Richard L. Voreis and Dennis L. Voreis, both of South Bend; her daughter, Cynthia A. (Meleah) Voreis of Huntington; grandchildren, Mariclar (Brian) Hall of Shakopee, MN, Brian (Jelena) Blocker of Lake Station, Brett (Lucy) Voreis of North Liberty and Joshua Voreis; and great-grandchildren, Jabob and Emma Grace Hall.

Funeral services are 10:00 Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., with calling one hour prior to services. Calling is also 4-8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family's preferred memorial is the Hospice Foundation (Center for Hospice), 4220 Edison Lakes Pkwy., #210, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
