In Memory

Gregory Alan Morrow - Class Of 1967

Gregory Alan Morrow

Gregory Alan Morrow

Aug. 23, 1949 - Nov. 11, 2023

With a wit as sharp as a freshly honed fishing hook and a heart as big as the great outdoors he loved, Gregory Morrow embarked on his final camping trip on November 11, 2023. Born on August 23, 1949, Gregory spent his 74 years as a master of life's grand adventure, leaving us with stories that could fill a library and a laugh that could fill a concert hall.

Gregory was a loving husband to Carol, his wife of 56 years, and a proud father to Sean and Shelley (Mike). In his professional life, he was a courageous tool and die maker in the aerospace manufacturing industry, but it was in his personal life where his true talents shone. An avid fisherman, a fan of the Moody Blues, and a feeder of neighborhood squirrels, Gregory was a man of many passions. He was known for serenading his family with his favorite tunes, and his resilience was legendary. Whether it was battling a particularly stubborn fish or outsmarting those crafty squirrels, Gregory never backed down. As a United States Marine, his courage was clear, but it was his love for his family, his beloved dog Dakota, and nature that truly defined him.

Gregory's legacy lives on in his grandchildren, Allysah Morrow, Kaelyn Neely, and Ethan Neely, and his brother Chris (Jackie) Morrow. He navigates the great beyond with his parents, Donald and Neoma Morrow, as his guides. As Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started." Gregory embodied this quote in every aspect of his life, always eager for the next adventure, the next challenge, and the next opportunity to make his loved ones laugh.

So, as we say goodbye to Gregory, let's remember him not with sadness, but with the love, laughter, and sense of adventure that he brought to every day. Please visit his memorial page to share your favorite memories of Gregory and to upload photos that celebrate his wonderful life. Because, after all, isn't that what Gregory would have wanted? To be remembered with a smile, a story, and a song.
