SSGT William Mason Haase

The body of S/Sergt. William M. Haase, 133 Pendle street, suburban Roseland, killed in action over Germany Aug. 5, 1944. will be returned to South Bend for reinterment here.

Friends may call in the Hay funeral home after noon Friday and until noon Saturday when the bod y will be taken to the Oldtime Gospel Tabernacle for funeral services there at 3:30 p.m. Rev. Quinton Everest, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Mishawaka.

He was born in South Bend June 8, 1924. His father, Joseph E. Haase, died Aug. 22, 1944, in New London, Conn., less than 12 hours after the family here had been notified that the son was missing in action. The father was in training for maritime service at the time death.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Emma M. Haase: sisters, Mrs. Vera VanLue, of South Bend, and Mrs. Paula Dunnuck, of Niles, Mich., and a half brother, Martin Garrett, of South Bend.
