George Duane Badgero
June 23, 1935 ~ July 26, 2021

George Duane Badgero, age 86 of Granger, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka on Monday, July 26, 2021. George was born June 23, 1935 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to the late Robert Phillip and B. Flossie (Converse) Badgero.

On April 27, 1957, he married Nancy Jean Bock. Nancy preceded him in death in March, 2015.

Surviving are his children, Dane (Kim) Badgero of Bristol, Indiana, Kirk (Donna) Badgero of Ruskin, Florida and Rochelle "Shelly" (Dave) Dallich of Granger, Indiana. Surviving as well are 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and his sister, Colleen (Maynard) Ricker of South Bend, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Jack Badgero, Bruce Badgero and Arlene Hartley.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm -5:00pm Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Cruz Family Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 2, 2021, at Cruz Family Funeral Home. George will be laid to rest beside his loving wife Nancy Jean at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger following services.

George was employed as a supervisor at NIPSCO in South Bend for many years before retiring at the age of 55. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching Indy Car and Formula One racing, and doing woodworking and carvings. He was also an avid fan of all kinds of music and loved attending concerts with his family.

Most of all, George was a hard-working husband, father and grandfather for his family and his kind and generous nature will never be forgotten.
