Ronold Eugene Crynes, 88 of Dennard, AR, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away May 17, 2026 at his home.
Ron graduated from South Bend Cllay High School in 1956.
Ron was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Sue, a loving dad to his daughter, Cyndi (Brad) Lang of South Bend, a proud grandpa to Chris (Amanda) Lang of Dubai & Alex Lang of Austin, TX, and found great joy in becoming a great-grandpa to Benjamin, son of Chris and Amanda.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Lucille (Harmless) Crynes, and his sister, Sharon Schloemer. He is survived by his sisters, Barbara Stetson of Zephyrhills, FL, and Mona (Dallas) Bergl of Venice, FL, along with many nieces, nephews & friends who will cherish his memory.
A veteran of the US Army, Ron lived a life defined by hard work, service, and craftsmanship. As a master mechanic, he possessed an incredible ability to repair and restore nearly anything, earning the respect of everyone who knew him. He had a lifelong passion for Studebaker's, enjoying countless hours collecting, restoring, and working on these classic vehicles. He was the owner of many Texaco stations in the early 60's in South Bend. Ron & Sue owned a franchise for New England Log Homes & owned Airsho Vendors, traveling the country providing merchandise to those attending Air Shows.
Ron loved spending time fishing at his cherished place in Soldotna, AK, where he found peace and happiness in the outdoors. He was a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 60 years, exemplifying the values of brotherhood, integrity, and service throughout his life.
Those who knew Ron will remember his mechanical skill, his quiet strength, his unwavering dedication to his family, and his willingness to lend a helping hand. His legacy lives on through the family he loved and the many lives he touched.
A Masonic burial service was held at Dennard Cemetery in Dennard, AR, on June 28, 2026. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
