Derik Alan Branstetter

August 8, 1987 ~ November 13, 2025 38 Years Old

Derik Alan Branstetter passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, in his hometown of South Bend, Indiana. He was born on August 8, 1987, to Thomas and Kathryn (Ezra) Branstetter.

Derik is survived by his sister; Tifani Radzikowski (Wes); his brother, Sean Branstetter (Victoria); three nieces and one nephew.

Derik, a proud graduate of a local high school, applied his strong work ethic as a laborer at Logan Industries.

Derik was an avid fan of rock and roll music. His passion for music was matched only by his love for games and sports. He was a devoted fan of both the Chicago Bears and Notre Dame football. He enjoyed playing UNO. He also enjoyed playing basketball and dancing.

Derik's fondness for the simple joys of life, such as watching episodes of SpongeBob, revealed the childlike wonder that he carried within him. He reminded us all to appreciate the laughter and lightheartedness found in everyday moments.

Derik will be profoundly missed by his parents, relatives, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have been graced by his presence.

No services will be held. Palmer Funeral Homes – Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial contributions in Derik’s honor may be made to American Heart Association.
