James O. Trowbridge

CAMBRIDGE James O. Trowbridge, 77, of Cambridge Wis./Nokomis, Fla., died following a long illness on Sunday, Aug. 17, 1997, at St. Mary's Health Care Center in Madison.

He was born on March 2, 1920, in South Bend Ind., the son of Orville and Zella Trowbridge. Jim served in the U.S. Navy and worked for 40 years as a supervisor and manager for Sundstrand Machine Tool Co. in Rockford, Ill. During retirement he spent the summers at Lake Ripley in Cambridge and the winters in Nokomis.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; a son, Jack (Kathie) of Cambridge; a daughter, Jill Sunday of Winnebago, Ill.; a sister, Marion Harwood of Arizona; and a brother, Donald Trowbridge of South Bend. He has seven grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

A memorial service will be held for Jim at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Grace Lutheran Church in Cambridge.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or the Cambridge Fire Department.
