NEW CARLISLE James Homer Anderson, 94, of New Carlisle, IN, formerly of Mishawaka, passed away at 4:33 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011, in Hamilton Grove. James was born on August 23, 1916, in Stephens, MN, to Burt G. and Lillian M. (Welch) Anderson.
On March 2, 1940, in Roseland, IN, James married Anna Mae Miller. Anna survives along with two sons, James H. Anderson Jr., and his wife, Jean of Granger, IN, and Kurt L. Anderson and his wife, Vella of Valparaiso, IN; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
James worked for the Bendix Corporation for over 30 years. James was a veteran of the U.S. Army, being honorably discharged in 1946, serving in Japan, and was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #360 of Mishawaka. James was also a member of St. Mark's Missionary Church.
Family and friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29th, with Dr. Donald Conrad officiating the funeral service, with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN.
