Harold E. Gollnick, Box 108, Cleveland road, died at 1:55 a.m. Sunday in Memorial hospital after a few hours' illness after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. He was born in South Bend March 29, 1919, and lived in this community all his life. .

He was employed as a machinist by the Studebaker corporation.

He was married in North Brook, Ill. in 1945. to Miss Josephine Metoxen, who survives. He leaves also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gollnick, South Bend: a son, William Arthur, at home: and a sister. Miss Nancy South Bend.

He served three years in world war II with the Ninth Air Force. He was a graduate from Washington-Clay High school in 1937.

Friends may call in the Orvis funeral home until noon Wednesday, Then the body will be taken to St. Paul's Lutheran church to lie until the funeral in the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. F. W. Broders, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial park.
