Loretta A. (Kubiak) Penkala

Loretta A. Penkala, 48, of 52103 Kenilworth Rd., died at 11 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital after an illness of three weeks. She was born on Nov. 25, 1918. in Wisconsin. She had lived the South Bend area most of her life.

She was married on Apr 17, 1945, to Edward F. Penka,, who survives. Also surviving a son, Timothy, at home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Casimer P. Kubiak, South Bend; a brother, Robert S., South Bend; a sister, Mrs. Lorraine H. Klose, Niles.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday in the Forest G. Hay and Son Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Rev. Stanley J. Rdzok, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
