Jack N. Seider
May 31, 1917 – March 6, 2003
Jack N. Seider, 85, of Mishawaka, Ind., passed away on March 6, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend, Ind. He was born on May 31, 1917, in South Bend, to Harry F. and Mabel C. Seider. His parents preceded him in death.
On Feb.15, 1941, he married the former Lucille Kryder. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Seider; three sons, Ronald Seider of Clinton, Ind., Douglas (Lucinda) Seider of South Bend and Harry (Laura) Seider of Granger, Ind.; his grandchildren, Clyde A. Seider, Charles A. (Keely) Seider, Samantha R. Seider, Thomas J. Nemeth, Christine Collins, Brandon D. Seider, Jared W. Seider, Amber M. Fogarty, James J. Fogarty, Nicole K. (Justin) Beebe and daughter Chloee, Melissa A. Seider and Karlee E. Seider; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Peggy Seider of South Bend; brothers-in-law Harold (Dorothy) Kryder and Vern (Mary Lou) Kryder and his sister-in-law Betty Kryder.
Jack was a graduate of Washington Clay Township High School. He was a proud Army veteran of W.W.II, where he had served as Corporal.
Jack had many hobbies that he enjoyed, such as ceramics, working with stained glass, reading and traveling with his wife. Above all, he most enjoyed the time he spent with his beloved grandchildren. He was truly dedicated to his family.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 11, at 10:30 a.m. in the First Christian Church in Mishawaka. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 10, in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Jack N. Seider to First Christian Church in Mishawaka.
