Bonnie (Nutter) Gardner

UNION MILLS Services for Bonnie Gardner, 75, of 9953 S. County Road 125 E., who died at 7 a.m. Sunday in LaPorte Hospital, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and until services Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Tracy United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Gardner was a school teacher for 32 years at various schools, including Union Mills, Union Township, Stillwell, Walkerton, Tyner, LaCrosse, Wheatfield, Oregon- and St. John Lutheran.

She was born Dec. 30. 1917, in South Bend and had lived in Union Mills for most of her life.

On Aug. 18, 1945, in LaPorte, she married Charles R. Gardner. He died Jan. 28, 1978.

Surviving are two sons, Everett of Irvine, Calif., and Dr. Dennis C. of Carmel, Ind.; two grandsons; and a sister, Thelma Bradley of Sun City, Calif.

Mrs. Gardner was a member of the church, LaPorte Retired Teachers Association, Indiana Retired Teachers Association and LaPorte Christian Women's Club, and was a 4- H leader for many years. She was a graduate of Purdue University.
