LeeAnne Born, 52, of Mishawaka, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Elkhart Hospice House. She was born October 5, 1965 in South Bend to Robert and Barbara S. (Robison) Born. In addition to her mother, survivors include her son, Robert Lee (Denise) Howard; daughter, Amber A. (2d Lt. Brandon) McVey; five grandchildren, Gavin and Ambrosia Howard, Skylar and Lilyanne McVey, Sam Schultz; brother, Robert A. (Lori) Born; sister, Debbie S. (Tim) Lanning; niece, Megan (Ben) Katonka; two nephews, Matthew and Joshua Lanning. She was preceded in death by her father Robert L. Born; grandmother, Myrtle Robison and her grandfather, Clyde Robison; grandmother Esther Born, and her grandfather Harold Born. Self described as fat and Sassy, she had a smile to light up a room. LeeAnne worked in many factories over the years. She had two best friends, both named Tina. She spent the last year of her Life travelling to the east coast with her daughter, Disney world with her grandkids and Vegas with her best friend Tina Szymanski. Her battle with terminal cancer did not spoil her outlook. She remained positive and strong until the end. LeeAnne had no regrets and left this world in a peaceful sleep. She wanted everyone to know she was leaving with a smoking hot body, even if it was from being cremated. A celebration of LeeAnne’s life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Giannetto’s Pizza, 14020 Cleveland Road, Granger. Elkhart Cremation Services, 2100 W. Franklin Street, Elkhart, is entrusted with her arrangements.
