Jahawn D. Horton
September 4, 2003 ~ June 3, 2025 (age 21)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jahawn Horton, a vibrant soul and tireless worker, who was born on September 4, 2003, in South Bend, Indiana.
Jahawn was a proud product of his hometown, attending Lafayette, Darden, Meadows Edge, Grissom, Penn, and Clay High School. His hard work extended beyond the classroom to the sports he loved: basketball, football, and track, where he displayed remarkable dedication and teamwork. Jahawn was also a diligent laborer at the UPS warehouse, a testament to his strength and determination. He was the epitome of the quote, "Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."
Jahawn is survived by his loving parents, Jamyka Donaldson and Dray (Cherisse) Horton; his dear sisters, Keleigh, Nevaeh, Seriyah, Zaya, Shaniah, Jayana, and Jashya; and his brothers, C.J., Joseph II, and Dramell. He is also survived by his cherished grandmothers, Deborah Avance, Barbara Griley and great grandmother Betty Taylor. Jahawn is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Mose and Edisto Horton, Johnny and Mary Avance, his grandfather, Allen Tyrone Donaldson and many many more aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, friends and loved ones.

Each story and picture helps us all remember the joy and love that Jahawn spread during his life. His spirit lives on in each of us, and his memory will forever be a beacon of strength and resilience.
A Visitation for Jahawn will be held on Saturday June 21, 2025 starting at 10 A.M followed by a celebration of life that will begin at 11 A.M both at the Kingdom Life Christian Cathedral, 707 Sherman Ave, South Bend, Indiana 46616. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family invites all motorcycle riders to join the funeral procession and lead Jahawn to his final resting place. Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford's Mortuary Inc.
