Harry E. Nafe
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Dr., South Bend, for Harry E. NAFE, 81, of South Bend who died Wednesday in Santa Barbara, Calif., after a sudden illness.
He was born in Rochester on July 23, 1902 to Earl and Edna BERRIER NAFE. He lived most of his life in the South Bend area, moving there from Rochester. He married Bessie MARRIOTT on June 30, 1934 in Rochester; she survives. He was a teacher of industrial arts for 30 years in the South Bend area and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in South Bend.
Surviving with the wife are two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Marie) SCHEWER, South Bend, and Mrs. Clifford (Mabel) LOUNSBURY, Indianapolis.
The Rev. Lester BILL will officiate the services ad burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hay Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to his church.
