John C. Kintzele
April 20, 1961 - March 13, 2011
SOUTH BEND - John C. Kintzele, 49, residing in South Bend, passed away at 10:56 a.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He was born April 20, 1961, in Grand Rapids, MI, to the late Richard William and Rose Mercedes (McDonald) Kintzele.
John was a truck driver for various companies, including Circle Lumber, Big C Lumber, Allied Van Lines and Mayflower Moving Company. He was a member of the local teamsters union. John supported the arts and PBS (Public Broadcasting System). He also graduated with a degree in Public & Environmental Affairs from IUSB.
Surviving John are four sisters, Mary Ellen (Chet) Koziol of Rockford, MI, Loretta (Tom) Armock of Grand Rapids, MI, Jeanette (Brian) Pritschet of Charleston, IL, and Ginger Such of Carmel, IN; and three brothers, Rich Kintzele Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, Bob (Linda) Kintzele of Kenai, AK, and Joe Kintzele of South Bend.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Roseanne Kintzele.
Funeral services for John will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2011. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, at a later date. Expressions of sympathy on behalf of John may be made to Pet Refuge, 2300 W. 6th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
