Westfield - Walter Burnham, 90, passed away Saturday, December 9th. Walter is survived by his wife of 69 years, Florence. He was proceeded in death by his son, John and his grandson, Lawrence. Survivors include his son, Michael (Kris) Burnham; daughter-in-law, Anna Burnham (John); and granddaughters Rachel and Danila.

He was in the Navy in WW II after graduating high school. He worked for several insurance companies including Western Adjustment and finally with American States Insurance Company where he retired from in 1990. He was very proud of successfully handling many property claims throughout the United States.

In retirement he and Florence traveled throughout the world and he especially like traveling on cruise ships. He and Florence moved to Florida and then finally moved back to Central Indiana. He was an avid golfer at Pebble Brook Golf Club and enjoyed the Indianapolis 500 race group that made their annual trek to Indianapolis each May.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 16th at 2:30 PM with calling from 1:30 PM at Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN with buried to follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Noblesville, IN. for their building fund.
