SOUTH BEND - Pansy V. Williams, 82, residing in South Bend, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, in Hospice House, South Bend.

She was born May 6, 1927, in South Bend, the daughter of Archie F. and Mary E. (Webber) , and had remained a lifelong resident.

On September 18, 1959, in South Bend, as Pansy Carter, she was united in marriage to George E. Williams, who preceded her in death on November 30, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a son, Brian L. Williams, on April 4, 2007; and by two sisters, Ellen Luchowski and Fritchie Stewart. Mrs. Williams retired in 1983 from the Bendix Corp. following 32 years of faithful service, and was a member of U. A. W. Local 9. She was a very talented artist and enjoyed watercolor painting. She loved nature and going fishing at Potato Creek State Park.

She is survived by four sons, Lewis E. (Linda) Williams of Bremen, Frank T. Williams of Bremen, Brent L. (Beth) Williams of Elkhart and Bart D. (Kathy) Williams of South Bend. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Clara, Kaylee, Steven and Edward Williams Jr.; a sister, Maejil Newman of Fort Walton Beach, FL; and a brother, Orthil (Marian) Carter of South Bend.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30th, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Bertrand Cemetery, Niles, MI. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until services on Saturday in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy on behalf of Mrs. Williams may be made to Hospice House, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
