Mary "Maxine" Miller, 84, of LaSalle Avenue, Mishawaka, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2006, in Healthwin Nursing Home, South Bend.

Maxine was born on January 2, 1922, in Granger, to the late George and Mary (Ragan) Gibson.

On September 19, 1947, in Granger Presbyterian Church, she married Richard Miller. Maxine is survived by her loving husband, Richard of Mishawaka; one daughter, Barbara (Arthur) Aragon of South Bend; one son, Douglas (Sandi) Miller of South Bend; five grandchildren, Ryan, Jennifer, Jason, Shawna and Marrisa; eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Edith Potts of Granger and Alice Young of Mishawaka.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Douglas Jr., one brother, Harold, and two sisters, Mildred and Francis.

Maxine is an area lifetime resident, graduating from the former Washington-Clay High School. She was a secretary at Bendix and retired in 1983. She was member of the Bendix Girls Chorus and Granger Presbyterian Church Choir.

Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. today, June 28, 2006, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006, in the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Hesse officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
