SOUTH BEND - Bob (Bobby) Raymond Jewell, 38, passed away surrounded by family on September 26, 2016. Bobby was a delight to all he met. Bobby graduated from Clay High School in 1993. Bobby wasn't expected to live past 3 years old due to health issues upon birth. Bobby fought every health battle valiantly and, for 38 years, defied the odds, rising above and beautifully victorious. Surviving are his grandmother and lifelong caregiver, Delores L. Hale of South Bend; his mother, Lois Ewing of Osceola; sister, Lisa (Richard) Luthringer of Dowagiac, Michigan; and brother, James (Rachel) Jewell of Indianapolis. Also surviving are his aunts, Hazel (Mike) Stephens, Loretta (Pat Baird) Bowes and Edna Andrews. Uncles, Raymond (Beth) Turner, Joel (Roberta) Hale, John (Tessa) Hale, Ernie (LaDonna) Hale; along with many, many cousins, nieces and nephews. His hobbies were Bingo, shopping, fixing his wagon and working with his tools. His favorite holiday was Christmas and he loved seasonal themed string lights. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond S. Hale; and his uncles, Sylvester (Red) Turner and Glen Hale Sr.; along with his baby sister, Heather Jewell. Funeral services for Bobby will be held at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, on Saturday at 6:00 pm. Friends will be received from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service on Saturday. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Bubb Funeral Chapel to help with funeral costs.
