SOUTH BEND - Patrick Kevin Lower, 58, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away peacefully May 21, 2013, after an extended illness. He was born on September 4, 1954, to Edward C. and Joan A. (Miller) Lower, both of whom survive. Also surviving are Patrick's daughters, Melissa (Jeb) McNally of South Bend, IN, and Ashley (Chris Femia) Lower of South Bend, IN; his son, Ian Lower of Edwardsburg, MI; his sisters, Pam (Jay) Cool of Granger, IN, and Diann (Michael) Linback of Niles, MI; his brother, Brian Lower of South Bend, IN; his grandsons, Owen McNally and Spencer McNally, both of South Bend, IN; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Patrick graduated from Clay High School, South Bend, IN, in 1973.

He was married to Sonia (Hoffman) Collmer with whom he raised their three children together in Granger, IN.

Patrick worked for Swift Eckrich Meats for ten years before spending the majority of his career running his family-owned restaurant where he worked alongside his family and friends. Patrick treasured the memories and friendships he made while working in his family-owned business. In his spare time, Patrick enjoyed listening to music, watching Western films, and spending as much time as possible with his friends and family.

Per his request, cremation will take place. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, May 29, from 5-7 PM at the McGann Hay, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Road. Burial of cremains will be arranged at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
