In Memory
Rebecca Gail (Perkins) Worm
Rebecca Gail Worm, 69 years old, passed away at 12:37 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Becky was born on November 27, 1954 in South Bend to the late Clyde and Patricia (Spillman) Perkins, Sr.
In 1973, while roller skating with friends, Becky met the love of her life. On June 28, 1975, Becky and Dennis A. Worm were united in marriage at the Lydick United Methodist Church. Alongside her devoted husband, Dennis, she created a life filled with love, laughter, and the beauty of simple moments. The sight of them sitting together on their porch, gazing out over the farm they built, was a testament to their enduring bond and shared dreams.
Becky’s days were filled with care, hard work, and the love she poured into her family. With her gentle touch, she turned ordinary moments into treasured memories, making everyone who crossed her path feel special and seen.
Becky was well known for her vibrant garden, a living testament to her nurturing nature. Each bloom reflected her joy and dedication, painting the seasons with a palette only she could create. Her talents extended beyond the soil; she had an unmatched gift for decorating that transformed her home into a warm, inviting space where laughter and stories were shared freely.
In recent years, one of Becky’s greatest joys was hosting “Pancake Thursdays,” a tradition she held with her granddaughter, Charlotte. The joy and laughter shared in those moments will live on, along with the belief that “everything tastes better with sprinkles.”
To her family, she was more than a wife, mother, and Gramma—she was their heart. Her presence brought light, her kindness was unmatched, and her wisdom a comfort. She will be remembered not only for her beautiful surroundings and creative spirit but for the love that blossomed in everything she touched.
Along with Dennis, her loving husband of 49 years, Becky is survived by their two daughters, Amanda (Thomas) Rink and Kimberly Worm, both of Bremen, IN. Becky is also survived by her granddaughter Charlotte Rebecca Rink, and many dear friends. Along with her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Perkins, Jr.
Becky’s love will forever be the foundation upon which we stand. Though she may no longer walk among us, her spirit will continue to guide, comfort, and inspire us every day. Her legacy of love will live on in our hearts and in the lives she touched so deeply.
