SOUTH BEND: John D. Maguire, 30, of North Oakland Avenue, South Bend, passed away Wednesday, September 28th, in his residence. Mr. Maguire was born on November 16, 1974, in Lowell, Mass., and resided in the Michiana area since 1989, coming from Lowell, Mass.

John is survived by his loving parents, John J. and Terry L. (Carl) Maguire of South Bend; a sister, Sandi L. (Doug) Miller of South Bend; and a loving and special niece, Marisa L. Maguire. John was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert L. and Dorothy M. Carl; and by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Helen Maguire.

John was a graduate of Clay High School, class of 1994, and was an avid sports fan. He loved his Boston Red Sox, Florida State football, New England Patriots, Detroit Red Wings and the University of Notre Dame football. You will never be forgotten, we pledge to you today, A hallowed place within our hearts, is where you'll always stay.

Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday, Oct. 4th, in the Hanley & Son "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland RoadIndiana 23, South Bend. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Oct. 5th, at the Cornerstone Community Church, 52277 Hickory Road, Granger, IN 46530. (Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service time in the church.) Pastor W. Greg Henry will officiate and burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Ind. The family request that all memorial contributions be made to Cornerstone Community Church.
