Fischer, John David Whitmore Lake, MI Age 60, passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2004. Mr. Fischer was born on August 18, 1943 in Michigan City, IN. His wife of 37 years Mary Alice (Penny) Pontius survives in addition to his parents, Freder ick and Lois Fischer of South Bend, IN. John is also survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jill (Alexander) Hanon of Mt. Vernon, NY and Jane (Nathan) House of Ypsilanti, MI; brothers, Thomas (Nan) of Rockford, MI, Daniel (Dawn) of Noblesville, IN; sister-in-law, Kathryn (Warren) Prostrollo of AZ; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Pontius of AZ; and eight nieces and nephews. John was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Illinois Tool Works, CIP Group. He was a member of the Golf Collectors Society, Hickory Hackers Assoc., Society of Hickory Golfers, the USGA, Dearborn Country Club, Dance Club of Jackson, American Model Yacht Racers Assoc. Plymouth Elks, Industrial Fasteners Insti tute, President 2003 and the Society of Manufacturing Engi neers. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 23, 2004 at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor, 1432 Washtenaw Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI.
