Francis Bernard Bishop, 45, of 19619 Southland Ave., died at 11:10
a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness.
Mr. Bishop retired in 1981 from AM General Corp. as an inspector. He was born Jan. 18, 1943, in South Bend and was a lifelong resident.
On Aug. 17,1963, in Niles, lie married Karen A. Hitter, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Paula, Julie and Cindy, all at home; a son, Doug of Lafayette, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
