Anne Ling (Wang) Dodds

August 27, 1981 ~ August 17, 2024 (age 42)

Anne L. (Wang) Dodds, aged 42, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Born on December 27, 1981, in Lansing, MI, to Charles Wang, who predeceased her, and Sue Ling Tung. Her cherished Grandpa, York Wang also proceeded her. Anne's vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Anne's life was a rich tapestry woven with love for her family, friends, and the many passions that brought joy to her days. She is survived by her devoted husband, Brian Dodds, who stood by her side in every adventure life presented.   She is also survived by her sister Angela Wang and held a special place in her heart for her aunts, Emma and Dora, who gave her guidance throughout her life.

A true fashionista at heart, Anne loved to get dressed up and go places, whether it was a simple outing or a grand event. She was the life of the party, always ready with a smile that could light up a room. She and Brian especially enjoyed seeing movies together, at home and on the big screen. Anne's presence made every movie night an occasion and every family gathering an event to look forward to.

Anne's home was a haven for her beloved pets, who were more than animals to her; they were family. Her creative spirit found expression in craft projects, especially in making jewelry that reflected her unique style and personality. Anne was passionate about the Asian culture, from Anime to Hello Kitty, to her favorite foods (especially Grandpa York’s cooking). Anne also studied art at Ivy Tech with a special fondness for photography.

A memorial service to celebrate Anne's life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel 3910 North Main St, Mishawaka, IN. Friends and family are invited to gather one hour prior to the service to share stories, comfort one another, and remember a life lived to the fullest. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.

Anne's legacy is not one of sorrow but of inspiration. She taught us to embrace every moment with zeal, to find beauty in the mundane, and to cherish the bonds of family and friendship. Her spirit will continue to guide and uplift us, just as it always has. Anne will be deeply missed, but her light will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved her.
