JASON MICHAEL KIMBERLIN

May 16, 1982 - March 29, 2007
SOUTH BEND - Jason Michael Kimberlin, 24, was born May 16, 1982, in South Bend, and passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2007.

Jason is survived by his mother, Shellie Lewis; brothers, Andrew and Blake Lewis; grandparents, Michael and Sandra Kimberlin of Mishawaka; an uncle, Todd Kimberlin; an aunt, Noelle Payne of South Bend; cousins, Todd Kimberlin and Brittany Payne; stepfather, Kip Peters of South Bend; and by his dogs, Winnie and Zeke.

Jason had a lifelong struggle with muscular dystrophy. He walked until he was eleven. He was lovingly cared for by his family. He was a very special young man who accepted his plight without complaint. He loved cars, especially NASCAR and Jeff Gordon.

He graduated from Clay High School in 2001.

He was a champion karaoke singer at the muscular dystrophy camp. He loved music. He was an expert computer artist. He was a truly beautiful person sent by God to give us all hope, inspiration and compassion for the handicapped. He was loved by all and made us all better people for having known and loved him. He will never be forgotten; he will be in our hearts forever. Jason, we know you are running and driving your cars in heaven. We will all see you again soon. May God keep and bless you - our angel here on Earth.

Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 31, in the McGann Hay Funeral Home-Morning Star, on Cleveland Road. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, 3951 N. Meridian, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46208.
