Jayqwena Twin Pollard

SOUTH BEND - Jayqwena (Twin) Shantel Pollard, 29, of South Bend, Indiana, beloved mother, twin sister, cousin, and friend, passed away at 12:15 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2018.

Jayqweana was born to Walter “Jason” Pollard and Dianna (Joanna) Walker on December 31, 1988. Jayqwena graduated from Clay High School. She was a wonderful person who was loved by everyone whom she came in contact with. She was very kind and caring. Even though she was quiet, she was always full of laughter and joy, which made it a pleasure to be in her presence. Jayqwena enjoyed listening to music, reading books, and writing in her personal time. She loved spending time with her kids, her twin sister, her siblings, and her family. She will be missed dearly.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her parents, Walter “Jason” Walker and Dianna (Joanna) Walker of South Bend, Indiana; her four small children, Erianna, Eric Jr., and Jordan Pollard, and baby Jayce Welch; five siblings, her twin sister, Jayquanna (Twin) Pollard, Jayquianna Pollard, Brittney Jo Abner, Briyanna Gay, and Dianna Gay all of South Bend; one brother, Tony D. Hesiban of Michigan City, IN; two aunts, Denise and Debra Walker; six uncles, Tyrone (Cynthia) Lewis, Craig, Tony (Brenda), Sammy, Tom Jr., and Jermaine (Kesonia) Walker; one great-aunt, Gloria Flemings; 13 cousins, Andrea and Samantha Walker of St. Paul, MO, Laquisha (Ronnie) Jackson, Laquanna, and Vincent McKinney Jr., Terrell, Laqunita, and Eric Doaks Jr., Greg, Aaron, and Terry Lewis, Deanna (Darryl) Means, Octavia Stokes, and Tom Walker III; special friends, Bridgette Roberts-Carthon, Lovelady, and Antoneshia.”Tone” Brown; and her children's fathers, Eric Johnson and Levi Welch.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Bertha Pollard; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Bonnie Jean Walker Sr.; four uncles, Dennis, Ricky, and Ronald Walker, and Derrick Pollard; one aunt, Ann Pollard; and one special great-aunt, Shirley Thompson.

Services for Jayqwena Pollard will be held at New Horizon Outreach Ministries on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 12:00 p.m., with viewing from 11:00 a.m. to noon.
