ELKHART - Linda S. Gubi King, 69, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday June 19, 2018 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born April 19, 1949 in South Bend, Indiana to Jacob & Mildred (Beck) Triplet.

She was married to Roger A. King on July 28, 2008 in Elkhart. He survives along with her two children; “Missy” (Dan) Sharp Jr. of Middlebury, IN, Gary L. (Christine) Gubi Jr., of Elkhart from a previous marriage to Gary L. Gubi Sr., from 1967-1977. She has two grandchildren; Joshua and Seth Sharp; one great-grandson; Joshua Sharp Jr., all of which she adored. Also surviving are two step children; Gwen (George) Kijak and Michael (Cindy) King both of Elkhart, IN; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and her two furry friends, Harley-Hanna and Davidson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Judy Nowak and two brothers, Edward Johnson and Tommy Triplet.

Linda graduated in 1967 from Clay High School in South Bend and graduated from Davenport College. She was a member and a Sunday school teacher at the Sanctuary in Osceola. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her chocolate chip cookies, snicker doodle cookies and her poppy seed cake. She was a manager for Gubi's Restaurant in Elkhart, and was the owner of Linda's Plain and Fancy in Goshen, she was a waitress at the Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury and currently was employed by LM enterprises in Goshen.

She also enjoyed motorcycle riding with her husband, she was a fan of Notre Dame football and Chicago Cub baseball fan.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday and from 10am-Noon Monday at the Omega Event Center, 2130 Middlebury Street, Elkhart, IN. Funeral services for Linda will be held at Noon Monday June 25, 2018 at the Omega Event Center. Pastor Jack Rorie from the Sanctuary in Osceola will preside and cremation will follow.
