Patrick A. Burgess, 44, of Granger, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2011, in his home. Patrick was born on May 4, 1966 in South Bend, Indiana to John A. and Joyce (Wilmot) Burgess, and was a lifelong resident. He was employed as a Computer Programmer.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Burgess of South Bend, Indiana; one sister, Erica Burgess of West Allis, Wisconsin; two brothers, Christopher Burgess of Iowa City, Iowa and Jeffrey Burgess of Chicago, Illinois; his paternal grandmother, Dorothea Burgess of South Bend, Indiana; and his aunt, Carol Burgess of South Bend, Indiana. 

Patrick was preceded in death by his father John A. Burgess in 2002.

Funeral Services will be held at 5 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2011 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Friends may call from 3 until 5 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Patrick was a graduate of Clay High School. He attended Bethel College and was a graduate of I.U.S.B. Patrick was an advocate for the disabled. Memorial Contributions may be made to Logan Center.
