DARREN L. SURAN

May 16, 1965 - April 26, 2012
SOUTH BEND - Darren L. Suran was born in South Bend, IN, on May 16, 1965. He is survived by his parents, Dar and Marsca (Carter) Suran, and his sister, Melissa (Suran) Richards, and his nieces, Jaime and Jillian. He is also survived by many, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Darren graduated from Clay High School in 1984 and attended Ball State University for two years, before deciding to attend Alabama Aviation Technical Flight School, from where he graduated with an Associate Degree. For the past twenty years, Darren was employed with Mercedes Benz of N.A. in Montvale, NJ, as a Dealer Parts Service Representative.

Darren will always be remembered as a true friend who was always willing to offer a helping hand. He was a loving big brother to his sister and adored his nieces, Jaime and Jillian. He had a passion for NHL Hockey and especially the New Jersey Devils. He also liked college and NFL football, auto racing of all kinds, and fishing. He was also an excellent down-hill skier and was thrilled when he went sky-diving. Darren was a member of the B.C.C.A. We couldn't have asked for a more loving and devoted son and brother. After recent health problems and surgery, Darren passed away quickly from complications of liver cancer.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, May 2nd, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, from 4 until 8 pm. Friends will also be received on Thursday, May 3rd, in the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service which will be held at 11 am, with Rev. Maynard Schoen and Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Burial is to follow at the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Young Life of Michiana, P.O. Box 563, South Bend, IN 46624; or to the Berrien Center Bible Church (for Mission), 8830 Hwy M-140, Berrien Center, MI 49102.
