Richard Eldon Scheid Sr.

SOUTH BEND - Richard E. Scheid Sr. passed away peacefully on April 8, 2009. He was preceded in death by his grandson and fishing buddy, Graham Wolff.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Scheid, four children, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and a sister.
Richard was a veteran of the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He was a longtime union member with the IBEW Local 153 in South Bend, Indiana, where he also enjoyed teaching future union electricians.
No formal services were held. Thank you to all his friends and co-workers at Vic International. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at St. Mary's North Hospital for his wonderful care.
