ST. CLOUD, FL - Lynn Kaye Keresztes passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013, from heart failure. She was born on November 27, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana, to Eldon (deceased) and Laura Jean Peterson.

On August 18, 1973, she married Paul Keresztes, who survives, as well as her mother, Laura Jean Hoover, and three daughters, Amy Jimenez and husband, Ramon, with grandchildren, Morris 2, Claire 1, and honorary granddaughter, Ysamar 6, of Orlando, FL; Laura Welden and husband, Chad, with grandchildren, Shea 9, and Summer 2, of Keystone Heights, FL; and Jenna and her husband, Alex Nagy of Auburn, Indiana. Lynn is survived by a sister, Teri Cummings of Kellogg, ID, and nephews Ross, Ryan, and niece, Lainey.

Her younger brother, Mark Peterson, and stepfather, Buford Hoover, are deceased.

Lynn was a 1971 Cum Laude graduate and John Phillip Sousa band award winner of South Bend Clay High School. In 1975, she also graduated with a Bachelor's in Music Education (Distinction) from Indiana University-South Bend. Lynn also earned a Master of Science Degree in Education Counseling from Eastern Illinois University in 1983. She taught Music at schools in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Texas. More recently she was the Chorus teacher at Horizon Middle School in Kissimmee, FL, for the past 11 years. Her program was recognized for its excellence and she had numerous students make All-State. Her musical talent served her well teaching youngsters to love and appreciate music.

She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, companion and wife to Paul. They shared their success. She had an unwavering love, support, and guidance for her family throughout the years. She took great pride in raising her children and grandchildren. A true-blue military wife, she followed her husband to various Air Force bases and settled right in to make a loving home. She took advantage of being stationed in Italy by sightseeing and taking Italian cooking classes. Heaven has a new member to lead the Heavenly Chorus. May God bless her forever and may she rest in eternal peace, our beloved angel.

A visitation was held from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, with a Funeral Service at 7 pm in the Osceola Memory Gardens St. Cloud Chapel in Florida. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013, in the New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, Indiana.
