Richard I. Engle, Jr. 60, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 in St. Joseph Regional Med Center surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born on July 23, 1963 in South Bend to Richard and Karen (Hyska) Engle Sr. On May 25, 1991 he married the former Ann Marie Ellis who survives along with three daughters Samantha Tipton, Barbara Frank, and Martha Engle, 6 grandchildren James Frank, Alexander Frank, Ophelia Frank, Liam Engle, Levi Whitmer, and Emberlynn Whitmer, two sisters Terri Engle and Kelly (Fred) Owens, three brothers Doug (Robyn) Engle, David Engle, and Dean (Whitney) Engle, and a step-brother John (Theresa) Spears.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard I Engle Sr., mother- Karen L Engle- Spears, & stepfather - James Spears. Richard enjoyed automobile racing and basketball and was employed by A.C. Rich & Co.
Viewing will take place from 3-7 Wednesday, July 10, 2024 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Services will be celebrated at 7:00pm. Cremation will follow.
