ELKHART - John H. Troeger, 85, of Elkhart, IN., passed away Sunday morning, April 11, 2021 in his residence.

John was born on June 26, 1935 in South Bend, IN., to John and Myrtle (Vining) Troeger.

John married Ruth Miller and Ruth preceded him in death on March 13, 2004. John was also preceded in death by his parents, One son, Andrew Troeger. Two daughters, Amanda Troeger and Marilyn Scott, two sisters, Alice Depoy and Katherine Smith and one brother, Lawrence Troeger.

John is survived by his children, John W. (Stacey) Troeger of Rochester, MN, Mari (Rich) Dominguez of Elkhart, William Troeger of South Bend and Michelle (Sean) Urbanski of South Bend, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

John retired from AEP as a lineman. He graduated from Clay High School and served in the U.S. Army and he was a huge Chicago Cub's fan and never missed watching an IU basketball game. Services for John will be at the Palmer Funeral Home - Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17 with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Pastor Larry Chrisman will officiate the services with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery with Mishawaka VFW #360 conducting military rites.
