SOUTH BEND - Marjorie L. Marko, age 86, of US 31 North, South Bend, Indiana died on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Hubbard Hills Senior Living Community in Elkhart, Indiana following a brief illness. She was born September 28, 1926 in South Bend to Russell & Lucille H. (Knott) Hosler.
On May 21, 1949 in South Bend she married Peter J. Marko; he preceded her in death on April 18, 1980.
Marjorie worked for the South Bend Medical Foundation and for Muellers Jewelers in South Bend. She was a graduate with honors from Washington Clay High School, South Bend, Indiana. Marjorie loved gardening, working on home remodel projects, cooking and caring for her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include daughter, Marjorie L. (Ronald J.) Glick of Edwardsburg; son, Larry D. Marko of South Bend; and brother, Russell L. Hosler Jr. of Edwardsburg. Marjorie has 5 grandchildren, Jarrod L. (Colleen) Guilford of Carson City, Nevada, Samantha, Evan and Alex Marko of South Bend; and one great-grandson, Kristian Guilford.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Patricia Hosler.
Services for Marjorie L. Marko will be held at a later date.
