Suzanne I. "Sue" Holloway, 60, of 51258 Lawrence Road, Decatur, MI, passed away Monday morning, February 20, 2006, in her residence following a six-month illness.

She was born July 18, 1945, in South Bend, IN, the daughter of Clement and Irene (Hagman) Celmer. On April 11, 1964, in South Bend, she married Donald A. Holloway, who survives.

She and her husband graduated from South Bend Washington Clay High School in 1963. She had been a resident of Decatur since 1973. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Marcellus, MI, where she taught grade school C.C.D. for 20 years and was a Eucharistic Minister for 15 years. She enjoyed woodworking, gardening, antiquing furniture, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving besides her husband Don are four daughters, Carolyn S. (Brian) Boyer of Marcellus, Carla S. (Janis) Gaikis and Caren S. (Brain) Lamoreaux, both of Decatur, and Cathleen S. (Matt) Choals of Spring Lake, MI; four sons, Matthew D. (Becky) Holloway of Marcellus, Mark D. (Barb) Holloway of Lawton, MI, Michael D. Holloway (fiancée Angela Symanzik) of Shelby Township, MI, and Mitchell D. Holloway of Royal Oak, MI; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce (Denny) Dee of Michigan City, IN, Beverly Wooten of South Bend and Joan (Denny) Laughlin of Bolingbrook, IL; and nieces and nephews.

Her parents and one brother, Clem Celmer, preceded her in death.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006, in St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Robert Creagen, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Paw Paw, MI, celebrant. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, Nicholsville.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2006, in the Mater Funeral Home, Marcellus. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southwest Michigan or to the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church Altar Society.
