Geraldine L. (Darr) Bonine

BRISTOL - Geraldine L. Bonine, 72 of Bristol, passed away early Thursday morning, November 30, 2017 at the Elkhart Hospice House.

She was born on August 26, 1945 to Gerald D. and Helen L. (Haines) Darr in South Bend. She married Steven E. Bonine on Jan. 19, 1974 in South Bend. She is survived by her husband Steven, a son, Jeffrey (Malinda) Smith, 3 daughters, Stefanie (Troy) Cord, Krista (Artemio) Flores and Lisa Bonine; 10 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings, Jeannie, Richard, Phyllis and Betty.

Geraldine graduated in 1963 from Washington Clay High School in South Bend and retired in 2007 as Human Resource Manager from Pace American, Inc. She was a devoted Cubs fan. She loved her garden, reading mysteries and was a dog lover.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm on Monday, Dec. 4th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where a memorial service will be held at 2 pm. Marjorie Braden will officiate.
