Bob was born in South Bend on May 13, 1958, to Cordilla Sievert and Kenneth Priebe, both whom preceded him in death in 2024 and 2012, respectively. He was also preceded in death by his sister Kay Ellen 'Kayzie' Priebe and his father-in-law, Hank Bonne.
On August 23, 1980, at St. Bavo's Church in Mishawaka, Indiana, Bob married the love of his life Theresa Bonne. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by their son Steven (Sarah) Priebe of South Bend, daughter Kelly (Brian) Fischer of Wheaton, Illinois, and grandchildren Norah, Faith, Liam, Grace, and Ava. Also surviving are his younger brother Jim (Chris) of Granger, Indiana, brother-in-law Henri (Catherine) Bonne of Indianapolis, Indiana, sister-in-law Jeanice (Joe) Giesting of Batesville, Indiana, nieces and nephews, Alyssa (Patrick) Reagan of Dallas, Kayzie (Andrew) Weedman of Niles, Michigan, Jennifer (Easton) Schweihofer of Grosse Pointe Shores, Michigan, Elizabeth (Tyler) Schmatz of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ben (Bri) Bonne of Fishers, Indiana, Joel (Hilary) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Jonathon (Danielle) of Indianapolis, as well as great-nieces and -nephews Rory, Palmer, Maia, Malone, Kane, Thatcher, Scarlett, Hadley, and Hank.
Bob was a graduate of Clay High School. He attended Holy Cross College and Rochester Institute of Technology, and earned his bachelor's degree from Indiana University South Bend. Upon graduation, Priebe began his career in printing at Lithotone Inc. of Elkhart, Indiana, where he worked his way to the position of President and remained active until his retirement in 2023.
Priebe was past President of the Craftsman Club. He enjoyed time on the water at Eagle Lake, and was an avid golfer and a current member at Morris Park in South Bend. He also enjoyed sailboat racing with his father and brother and spending time in the Florida Keys. Bob most recently went on a golf trip to Pine Needles in North Carolina with some of his golf buddies; although he may have been a bit gimpy and slow, somehow he came home with some winnings and finished on the top of the board on several days!
The family will be having a private service for immediate family at a later date at Hilltop Lutheran Church of the Ascension. Donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Raclin House Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
