STEVE R. STINSON

Steve R. Stinson Aug. 7, 1958 - Dec. 14, 2014 MUNCIE - Steve R. Stinson, 56, passed away Sunday morning, December 14, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born August 7, 1958 in South Bend, the son of John E. Stinson and Ruth L. (Kittle) Stinson-Dodgson.

Steve graduated from Clay High School in South Bend in 1976 and received his Bachelor Degrees from Indiana University in Political Science and Political Theory. Steve worked for Audio Specialist Company in Rosewood as a sales representative and later for Huckins Company in South Bend as a tool and die-maker for 10 years.

He loved motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson, and enjoyed watching sports, football, basketball, baseball and NASCAR. Steve was an avid fan of the Colts and the Chicago Cubs. One of his main passions in life was music, including listening to all types of music, playing guitar and going to concerts. Steve also loved to watch crime dramas, especially Law & Order and dreamed of traveling to Europe. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his daughter, Christy Stinson of Florida; one son, Ian E. Stinson of Muncie; his mother, Ruth L. Dodgson of Greenwood; four step-children, Nathan, Holly, Ashley and Elise; two grandsons and six step-grandchildren; one brother, Todd A. Stinson (wife, Christina) of Greenwood; two sisters, LuAnn Kaczynski of Mishawaka and Leah Magnuson (husband, Tim) of Goshen; three step-sisters, Susan Dodgson, Jane Reisdorff and Martha Magliola; seven nieces and nephews; two cousins; his companion, Lisa Walker of Muncie and her daughter, Shelby.

He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Stinson and his step-father, Stan Dodgson.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2014 at The Meeks Mortuary, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating. Cremation will take place following services. Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014.
