Helen Nagy (Kuzan)

Helen Kuzan, 94, of Mishawaka, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Raclin Hospice House, Mishawaka.

Helen was born August 20, 1927, in Mishawaka, a daughter of the late Frank and Katherine (Novagodeze) Nagy. She was a 1945 graduate of Washington-Clay High School in South Bend.

Helen married Floyd J. Kuzan on September 13, 1947, and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2014. She was also preceded in death by a son, Mark A. Kuzan in 1961; three brothers, Joseph, Frank and Mike Radics; and four sisters, Ann Sarka, Kathryn Grabowski, Irene Raber and Theresa Radecki.

Helen is survived by a son, Patrick J. Kuzan, of Osceola.

Over the years, Helen's employment included office work at Uniroyal and The Associates and in food service at Elsie Rogers Elementary School. She retired from AmeriSource where she worked on inventory control. Helen was a long-time member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband and playing games, such as bingo and bunco. She also liked watching and feeding the birds and was a Notre Dame sports fan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 6, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4508 Vistula Road, Mishawaka, with Rev. John Eze officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Friday in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, and from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Saturday in church.

Memorials are suggested to Center for Hospice Care.
