Elmer J. Sossoman, 78, of Creek Road, passed away December 11, 2004, at his home following an illness.
Elmer was born September 26, 1926, to the late Elmer and Beryl (Dickey) Sossoman in South Bend, Indiana.
In South Bend, Indiana, he married Barbara (Swartz) Sossoman, March 3, 1957.
He served in the United States Army during WWII and after being honorably discharged began working as a self-employed farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; his sons, E. Thomas (Karen) of Niles; his daughter, Catherine Sossoman of South Bend; two grandchildren, Emily and Kyle Sossoman, both of Niles; three sisters, Doris Paturalski and Mary (George) Paturalski, both of Niles, and Irene Abbott of South Bend.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and his sister, Bertha Michele.
In keeping with Elmer's wishes, cremation will take place and the family will have a private memorial.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their condolences may do so to Hospice at Home Inc., P.O. Box 297, Stevensville, MI 49127.
Services have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services and Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, Crematory and Gardens.
